“He’ll use the rain to make you bloom”

An interesting allegory, used by Grayson|Reed in this song “Bloom,” of how Jesus uses rain (pain, trials and suffering) to make us bloom. Indeed, He works in us from glory to glory, just as the Paul said in his second letter to the church in Corinth:

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18

“Bloom” is one of the featured tracks in the first EP released by this husband and wife duo [Mike Grayson (Mikeschair) and Molly Reed (City Harbor)], entitled “Walk” – an album that mainly speaks about marriage, but this song was inspired by and written for their daughter, Grailey. Reed narrates:

I feel like the last line in the chorus sums it up well, “He’ll use the rain to make you bloom.” We want our daughter to rely on Christ in every moment of her life, especially the hard ones. When she puts her hope, faith and trust in the Lord, He can and will use every situation to help her grow in her faith. That’s our prayer, that she would know He is near and even in the hard times in life. He can and will make a way and make her better from it…make her “Bloom.”

It’s a fast and upbeat song that with an encouraging message – another one for the playlist!
