This Christmas week, may we fix our eyes on the true reason behind the celebration – the most precious gift ever given: salvation through the promised Messiah. May we experience every spiritual blessing that comes with the beautiful and undeserved privilege of being children of God.

Christ is our HOPE

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

Look to the king born in a manger, who ensures that amidst the trials and struggles of this life we are never alone — and that this broken world does not have to be the end of the story. Christ IS Christmas.

December 24
Christ is our LIGHT

“In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:4-5

All the Christmas lights pale in comparison to Him who is the light of the world – who plucks His people out of the darkness. Christ IS Christmas.

December 25
Christ gives true LOVE

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

In the darkest of days and the coldest of nights, know that there is an unfailing love, however undeserved, that is always available to all who place their faith in our Savior King. Christ IS Christmas.

December 26
Christ brings everlasting PEACE

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Amidst the chaos of the world, true peace is found in a person. The promised Messiah, the Savior from sin, the king of the world. Christ IS Christmas.

December 25
Christ is our JOY

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11

Material gifts may bring temporary happiness, but eternal life in Christ is the greatest gift of all – bringing everlasting joy. Christ IS Christmas.
