Newton’s Law of Gravity simply states that “What comes up, must come down.” Derived from an absolute truth that all matter has a force that has mass exerts a gravitational pull, or force, on every other mass.
Whether we believe this to be true or not, the fact remains and will not change.
Just like Newton’s Law of Gravity, there are many physical laws that govern the physical universe. So are there spiritual laws that govern your relationship with God. His laws are absolute truth – there are no gray areas. Anything that denies His word is not true, and two conflicting principles cannot both be true at the same time and in the same purpose.
No lie is of the truth – 1 John 2:21
GOD LOVES YOU AND CREATED YOU TO KNOW HIM PERSONALLY
God loves you and wants you to know Him.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. (1 John 4:9)
WE ARE SEPARATED FROM GOD BY OUR SIN, SO WE CANNOT KNOW HIM OR EXPERIENCE HIS LOVE
Everyone is sinful
We were created to have a relationship with God but we rejected Him through sin, and the relationship was broken.
This rejection of God and the building of our lives around anything else is what the Bible calls sin. We show this having selfish actions and attitudes, by disobeying God or displaying indifference toward Him.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23)
For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.
Sin has consequences
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
JESUS IS GOD'S ONLY SOLUTION FOR OUR SIN. ONLY JESUS IS ABLE TO PAY FOR OUR SINS SO THAT WE CAN RECEIVE THE FATHER'S LOVE AND FORGIVENESS
Jesus is God
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. (Colossians 1:15)
Jesus died in our place
His death demonstrated His love as He suffered the punishment we deserved in our place.
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, (1 Peter 3:18)
Jesus defeated death and came back to life
His resurrection proved that He is God and that death cannot hold Him down.
He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3)
Jesus is the only way
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
GOD PROVES HIS LOVE
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
WE MUST EACH RESPOND TO JESUS BY PLACING OUR TRUST IN HIM AS OUR SAVIOUR AND LORD. ONLY THEN CAN WE KNOW GOD PERSONALLY
This response involves
– Acknowledging that we are sinful
– Repenting by turning away from our sinful lifestyle and turn to God
– Trusting God to forgive us completely because of the work that Jesus did and finished on our behalf
– Surrendering our lives to Jesus and follow Him completely by putting Him first in our lives.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know and confess that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I humbly accept your gift of salvation. Give me the grace to turn from my sins and surrender my whole life to You. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior
In Your Name, Amen.
