Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalms 23:4

This is one of the most comforting and encouraging verses penned by the Psalmist.   It reminds us that regardless of the things we go through and the state we’re at in life, there is no reason to fear.   God is faithful to see us through everything.

Tauren Wells wrote the song “Hills and Valleys” while recalling a quote that says: “When you’re on the mountaintops of life, learn to bow low. And when you’re in the valleys of life, learn to stand tall.”

In the course of a Christian’s life, there will be times that we find ourselves on a mountain top, and there will be times when find ourselves standing on a valley. In either situation, we must learn to see God and focus on Him, who He is and remember His promises.

No matter where we’re at, we’re standing in God’s grace. And no matter what we have, His grace is enough. He’s the God of the hills and of the valleys
