…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God -Romans 3:23

When love broke thru
You found me in the darkness
Wanderin’ thru the desert

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 3:26

Now I’m hopelessly devoted
My chains are broken
And it all began with You
When love broke thru

If we never knew Christ, what lead us to finally meeting Him? If we did not move, who moved?

And it all began with You
When love broke thru

TobyMac’s “Love Broke Thru” starts with a beat that is like the cadence of soldiers, up and out, ready to train or to fight, beating the sun before daybreak. Being a follower of Jesus makes one a missioner to spread the Good News, a soldier that will be up in arms with co-soldiers to have God’s children in the dark be brought to light, fighting to keep the joy and peace in their lives from forces that will not take God’s free gift of eternal life sitting down.

I did all that I could to undo me
But You loved me enough to pursue me

God moved. His heavenly hands pulled us from the valleys of hopelessness. His father heart keeps us safe from any undoing by anyone or anything, ourselves included.

Being followers of Jesus make us part of His army of His children. Take heart, God’s love will always break through, like sunlight through a cloud, like a trembling of the ground breaking down pillars, like a small but close voice in the pitch black darkness of rock bottom.

The chorus dominated the song, speaking hope to anyone who hears it. The steady staccato all throughout the song lifting heavy hearts. The Beginning and the End has broken all our chains out of nothing else but out of love.
