“Who I Am” is a song that simply explores how the experiences of our past have helped to shape the people we are currently.  Even though our past has an impact on who we are today we have the power to choose if we want to continue to allow our past to define our identity, or if we will decide to move on and move up.  “Who I am is a dreamer who is finally leaving town” Michael Reed

A long overdue breath of fresh air, reminding us that music is meant to be fun and enjoyed.

Singer/songwriter Michael Reed has surrounded himself with arguably the greatest rhythm section found in the Cedar Valley. Chad Smith, Matt McLaughlin, Karen Smith, and Neil Matthias have joined Michael first as a worship team from their local church, and now as a fan favorite act from Waterloo, IA in the Michael Reed Band.

Classic influences like Johnny Cash, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith blend with modern flavors like Mumford & Sons, The Fray and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to give MRB a pallet of flavors to choose from on any given night.

“We are who we are. We play bars and clubs for friends on Saturday night, and lead worship for our God and with our family on Sunday morning. We wear the same face in both places.”
