“For a good tree does not bear bad fruit nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from bramble bush.”
Luke 6:43-44

This is a wise saying from the Lord Jesus Christ to identify one person according to a fruit and spoke beforehand about “no disciple is greater than the master, but everyone who is PERFECTLY trained will be like his teacher.”

Our teacher is who we become. Primarily we should be a disciple of Jesus Christ so that we will become like Him in every aspect on how he became an example on how we live, and even on His teachings. People will identify us in Him because we are living out His teachings.

We need to understand that as disciples we should be perfectly trained so that we will be an effective product of the Lord Jesus Christ that people will say, “This is the fruit of Christ” so that we will be sure that we are a fruit of a good tree not a bad tree. Whatever we portray as our character will always reflect who our Master is.

Always remember that we carry Christ’s name wherever we go so that we will keep in mind that our tree is a good tree, so as part of our identity, we are already part of the good fruits of Jesus.
